Lately, Blackpink‘S Lisa He released another track of collaboration, “Born Again”.
The track presents Lisa together with the American artists Doja Cat AND Raye. He was also published with a sultry music video with the three stars.
Lisa seemed wonderful in the video, emitting the old Hollywood vibrations in some scenes.
However, these visual elements aroused a debate after being compared to one of the previous exits of Lisa.
In June 2024, Lisa released her first single, “Rockstar”, from her next album Alter ego. The version quickly became a hot topic for a series of reasons, both positive and negative.

One of the negative points of the discussion focused on Lisa’s graphics in some of the teasers released. In particular, some believed they were “black fishing” because of the “unnatural” skin tone that he had in some photos.

While the change is not necessarily an indication, many stressed that “Rockstar” had a more “hip-hop” concept, while “Born Again” tilts more pop. This distinction and its change in the images indicated its darker skin and imitating blacks for many.
