Arohas require apologies from MBC for presumably stolen the introductory greeting of Astro

The long -awaited MBC Gayo Daejejeon of 2024 finally emerged on 29 and 30 January after the postponement of his New Year’s program.

When airing, the Festival quickly became a hot topic online for its performances dotted with stars and the exceptional collaborations that have transcended various generations of K-pop.

The event was also led by the best centers and images in the sector, such as Yoona of Girls ‘Generation, Shinee’s Minho and TWS’ Dohoon, collectively known as “The Centerz”.

During the event, an unexpected moment occurred when the MCS recited a family slogan, “Wanna Be our star”, leaving the fans of Astro, Arohas, agitated.

For the context, the phrase “Wanna Be Your Star” is the introduction of the signature of Astro and the fans have quickly led to X to express their confusion.

Although it is not uncommon for the slogans to overlap in the music sector, Arohas has felt frustrated since the MC are idols themselves. They were even more surprised that MBC, who collaborated closely with idols, seemed unaware of the sentence deeply linked to the identity of Astro.

In K-pop, an introductory greeting is crucial as it determines the unique identity of the group and distinguishes them from numerous acts in the music scene.

Added to the disappointment of Arohas was the fact that the member Chas Eun Woo has worked with MBC for years. Fans have declared that MBC do not correctly accredit his group is a clear lack of respect.

As a result, the Fandom urges MBC to apologize to Astro to “steal” the slogan.
