They have no intention of ever returning to ADOR again
The members of NewJeans have released a new statement saying they will never return to HYBE and ADOR again.
The five members of NewJeans released a joint statement to the media today, January 23 KST, saying they have hired a law firm to represent them in their fight against ADOR and HYBE.
Hi, I’m Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin and Hyein.
The media confirmed that ADOR filed a lawsuit to maintain the validity of our exclusive contract and requested an injunction to prevent termination of advertising contracts and to preserve our contractual status. We were served the notice a few days ago and have appointed Sejong Law Firm as our legal representative.
Since HYBE and ADOR have appointed Kim and Chang Law Firm as their legal representatives, we felt we needed a law firm to respond to this situation. We felt Sejong was the best choice for this rapidly developing situation as they understand both HYBE and ADOR issues.

They went on to explain how the companies failed to hold up their end of the deal by failing to protect them and even going behind their backs, secretly meeting with their parents in an attempt to bring them back to the company.
HYBE and ADOR have failed to fulfill their agency duty by failing to uphold their responsibility to protect and develop their artists. There have been both minor and major interruptions during our activities, and in order to abandon and then replace us, they have disguised their attempts to end our entertainment career by calling it a long-term vacation.
Even after the legal termination of our exclusive contract, we received unfounded criticism from the media and cyber-wreckers’ YouTube channels using information that could only be known to HYBE and ADOR. We therefore believe that they are at the center of all this.
HYBE and ADOR keep telling us to go back to their agency but they continue to harass and attack us like they did before, away from the eyes of the public. Recently, they secretly met with our parents, both to reconcile with us and to further drive a wedge between us. Instead of resorting to such cowardly methods hidden from sight and spreading false information to the media, we hope we can discuss this honestly and truthfully.

Their bombshell comment was next, stating that they will never go back to HYBE and ADOR again.
We want to be clear. The five of us have no intention of returning to HYBE and ADOR, where we cannot even expect the bare minimum of trust.
Even after the termination of our exclusive contract, we wanted to smoothly complete previously scheduled activities and contractual obligations to avoid harming others involved. But we have decided to no longer remain silent as we watch HYBE and ADOR harm us and others with their improper methods and refuse to cooperate with us.
We will bravely face this fight through the legal system to clearly reveal the mistakes of HYBE and ADOR and tell the truth.
We are sorry to have worried our fans who love and support us so much. But we will do our best to be able to freely share our music with you again as soon as possible. Please give us your support. Thank you.
