On the January 21st broadcast of SBS’s “Dolsing Fourmen,” Park Ha-sun appeared alongside actresses Hong Eun-hee and Han Hye-jin. When asked if she had felt butterflies about her husband recently, Park Ha-sun recounted how Ryu Soo-young’s face convinced her to marry him. He said: “With that face and acting ability, I thought he wouldn’t let me go hungry. Then he started cooking and the money started arriving. It’s the first time I’ve met a man who earns more than me.” She expressed her affection for her husband, “He’s the first person to give me a card.“
Previously, Ryu Soo-young appeared on a broadcast last year and discussed his activities on the cooking show “Stars’ Top Recipe at Fun-Staurant,” where he had been a regular guest for four years. He explained: “I develop recipes by identifying challenges from a beginner’s perspective and simplifying the process by removing unnecessary ingredients one by one.” He added: “The goal is to create recipes that can be made with 5~6 simple ingredients. I think I’ve created over 300 recipes so far.”
Last year, in a broadcast, Ryu Soo-young spoke about rumors that he had amassed a large fortune through recipe development. MC Lee Sang-min pointed out the immense popularity of Ryu Soo-young’s recipes online and asked, “Is it true that you have earned around KRW 20 billion in the last 2~3 years from ‘Stars’ Top Recipe at Fun-Staurant’ recipes?“Ryu Soo-young denied:”I haven’t taken on other ventures like home shopping or running a channel, so I don’t have much money.”
Ryu Soo-young has earned the nickname “Mr. Eo Nam-sun” due to his immense popularity in KBS2’s “Stars’ Top Recipe at Fun-Staurant”. Through the show, he has won competitions with dishes such as Honey Condensed Milk Tteokbokki, Deluxe Chicken and Rosé Sausage Stew.
