IU and IVE finally met for the first time after a failed attempt last year.
On January 20, “Nation’s Sweetheart” aired episode 31 of its web series, The IU paletteon his YouTube channel, IU Official. In this delightful segment, she welcomed IVE, whose hairdresser is also IU, marking their first official meeting.

In this episode, the “Love Wins All” hitmaker acknowledged that their long-anticipated reunion was hindered by unforeseen circumstances.
“I want to take this opportunity to apologize once again,” he said, bowing deeply at 90 degrees to the six members.
“No, not at all,” the flustered IVE members responded, shaking their heads to assure her it was okay.
As they continued chatting, IU revealed that filming had been postponed from its originally scheduled date last year due to her poor health.
“Since I started Palettethat was the first time the accident happened. It was recording day. When I woke up, I felt something was wrong,” IU explained.
“I had a high fever. I had to go see a doctor that day, so I canceled the registration.”
Not long after, IU randomly ran into Liz in an elevator, where she asked the junior artist to convey her apology to the IVE members.
“This still sticks in my mind. Worst thing I did in 2024,” IU confessed.
But the girls immediately rallied around their senior, insisting she shouldn’t feel sorry for it. They added that their only thought at the time was for IU to feel better soon.
In response, the “LILAC” singer promised to make up for the girl group by making them shine even brighter during the program.
IVE released their new single, “REBEL HEART,” on January 13 across various music streaming platforms.
Their EP, IVE EMPATHYthe release is scheduled for February 3rd.
