YG Gives BLACKPINK Dedicated In-House Project Teams and Leaves Actor Management Business “Yoo Seung-ho, Yoo In-na and Joo Woo-jae Separate”

In an effort to refocus on its core music businesses, YG Entertainment has undertaken a corporate restructuring that includes the cessation of actor management services.

YG said: “We sincerely thank all the actors who were with us and the fans who showed us immense affection. We will spare no effort to provide the necessary support until the end.”

Currently, over 20 actors, including Kim Hee-ae, Cha Seung-won, Yoo Seung-ho, Yoo In-na, Jung Hye-young, Lee Soo-hyuk, Son Na-eun, Han Seung-yeon, Claudia Kim , Lee Sung-kyung, Jang Ki-yong and Joo Woo-jae have signed a contract with YG Entertainment. According to a response to DongA.com, YG made it clear that it will continue to support actors with active contracts until their natural expiration, ensuring a smooth and amicable parting.

YG explained that he is gradually preparing to shift focus entirely to his music business. Last year, the company integrated YGX into a global training center to enhance its skills and capabilities, while expanding its in-house manufacturing team from around 10 to over 50 members, further strengthening its manufacturing system .

YG’s current music roster includes artists such as WINNER, AKMU, BABYMONSTER, TREASURE, and Eun Ji-won. BLACKPINK members are signed individually with separate agencies but continue group activities under YG’s management.

BABYMONSTER will embark on a world tour this year, starting with a concert in Seoul in January. TREASURE plans to release a mini-album, their third full-length album, and will kick off “TREASURE 2025 FIRST US TOUR” [SPECIAL MOMENT]” in April, with performances in New York, Washington DC, Oakland and Los Angeles. A full-scale world tour will follow in October.
