SHINee key sends Shawols into panic mode with distressing clip from SMTOWN Live 2025

SHINee’s Key and Minho lit up the stage at SMTOWN Live 2025 in Seoul from January 11th to 12th to celebrate SM Entertainment’s 30th anniversary. Despite the absence of Onew and Taemin, the duo captivated the audience with their fiery performances.

While the two icons showed off their charisma and signature chaotic energy, only a few seemed to realize that Key was battling a nasty cold throughout the event.

Before Day 2, Key, real name Kibum, took to the fandom communication platform, Bubble, to apologize in advance to Shawols (SHINee fans) as he would miss the final stage of “Hope” with his fellow artists SMTOWN due to his worsening condition.

Fans then urged him to forgo the event to focus on his recovery.

Despite his health issues, the “Bad Love” singer still showed professionalism on day two, completing his solo steps and flashing a warm smile at Shawols, along with Minho.

But a 13-second clip circulating on X showed the severity of Key’s condition after his legs gave out as he walked backstage. Luckily, Minho was quick to catch him and guided him down the stairs safely.

It was also lucky that the accident occurred half a meter from the edge of the stage, otherwise it could have been more serious.

As the footage makes the rounds online, Shawols has taken to social media to praise his dedication in serving up a flawless performance. However, they hoped that his passion would not come at the expense of his health.

“Please take a break. Your health is more important than anything,” urged one fan.

“Oh my God, it breaks my heart. What would have happened if Minho hadn’t been there with you?” added another worried Shawol.

“My heart hurts so much and here he is asking us for forgiveness when he gave everything even though he was in such bad shape. We don’t deserve you Kibum,” another fan commented.
