Super Junior’s Yesung Reveals SM Neglected Him After Taeyeon and Wendy’s Live Exit from SMTown

Super Junior’s Yesung is the latest idol to express his discontent with agency SM Entertainment with the company’s 30th anniversary concert on the horizon.

The 40-year-old idol, who has been signed to SM Entertainment since Super Junior’s debut in 2005, revealed his grievances on fan communication platform Bubble.

“I occasionally see questions about SM Town, but since it is an event for a company I have been with for over 20 years, I will try to participate as much as possible,” he said.

Yesung explained that SM Entertainment had neglected to involve him in the production of its music.

“However, I didn’t get to participate much in the music on the album,” he said.

“Now I’m tired of discussing the cold treatment of the group’s songs and I don’t want to talk about it anymore, so please understand that I want to focus on my performances first.”

Solo artist Taeyeon, a former member of Girls’ Generation, also took to the platform on Monday to explain that lack of willpower was not the reason she dropped out of the upcoming SMTown Live 2025 concert.

“It’s not because I lack enthusiasm or didn’t want to do it. I have a genuine love and dedication for the stage,” he said.

“I’m seriously considering it because I haven’t received the support to do my best.”

Red Velvet’s Wendy said in a statement that she had discussed skipping the show with the company more than a month ago, but was surprised when the announcement was made just days before the first show, scheduled to take place in Seoul on January 11th. .

“Hi. You probably already saw the announcement or maybe you haven’t seen it yet, but the discussion with the company happened a month ago, but the notice was only published today,” he said.

“I apologize because there must have been many ReVeluv waiting for the five-member Red Velvet stage. But since it is our 30th anniversary, there will be several stages prepared. I hope you have fun. Thank you and goodbye. Sorry.”
