BTS’ J-Hope received a glowing report card on his model military service from military superiors.
J-Hope, real name Jung Hoseok, shared photos from his military stint on his social media on Jan. 5 as he reflected on 2024.
The BTS member, who completed his mandatory service in October 2024, earned numerous accolades in his 18-month commitment, including the title of Special Warrior, an early promotion and the title of team leader.
Following J-Hope’s discharge, dozens of fellow soldiers gathered to celebrate his completion, including senior officers and colonels, many of whom were seen kneeling as a sign of respect.
“You have performed your duties as an instructor with excellence. Your contribution to building a stronger army will not be forgotten,” a colonel said.
J-Hope showed off a collection of 11 commendations he received during his service, solidifying his status as a model soldier.
“2024 was an emotionally intense year for me, filled with a mix of worry, excitement, and loneliness as I left the military,” J-Hope wrote in a post on Weverse.
“Now, I enter 2025 with anticipation and determination.”
