That album symbolized our journey and showed the kind of music we made together.“
When asked about the difficulties she anticipated after marriage, Lyn admitted: “I knew it would be difficult because my expressions would be misinterpreted or distorted. I became an easy target. Every time I posted something on SNS, the articles put it in a negative light. It became scary to express myself.” Despite being advised to stay off the SNS, she resisted, saying: “Why should I stop pleasing others? I’m an attention seeker and my fans want to see me. Why should I quit for someone else?“
She also revealed the emotional toll it took on her husband Lee Soo. “He felt guilty and uncomfortable seeing me take the brunt of it. This also made me feel guilty. I just wanted to stand up and say what was right, but looking back I realize it didn’t help either of us. I have learned to let things go and accept that time can fix these problems. Now I feel more at peace.”
Meanwhile, Lyn married Lee Soo in 2014, five years after facing public backlash over allegations that she engaged in prostitution involving a minor in 2009. In 2019, when a netizen brought up Lee Soo’s past, Lyn he defended, saying: “I’m not asking you to forget or forgive his past. Yes, the prostitution incident is true, but there are many false claims mixed in.” This led to a heated exchange online.
