The new broadcast dates for the highly anticipated 39th Gold Record Award have been announced.
On January 3, Korean news outlet Newsen reported that JTBC confirmed new air dates for the upcoming program 39th Gold Record Award. The two-part program will now air its pre-recorded segments Digital Song Division on January 6 and Album Division on January 7.
THE 39th Gold Record Award was originally scheduled for January 4-5 but was immediately canceled out of respect for the victims of the Jeju plane crash.
At the beginning of December 31, the secretariat of Gold Record Awards sent his condolences to the victims of the tragedy. The official also said that the event will now be replaced with pre-recorded broadcasts.
The secretariat also added that the red carpet segment will also be canceled and that adjustments have also been made regarding tickets.
THE 39th Gold Record Award will take place at the PayDay Dome in Fukuoka, Japan.
In other news, the event announced its artist lineup on December 9, 2024. The star-studded lineup consists of numerous K-pop artists such as SEVENTEEN, GFRIEND, aespa, LE SSERAFIM, TXT, NewJeans and many others.
The nominees for the awards show have been revealed, as various artists received nominations in the Digital Song Division, Album Division and Rookie of the Year categories.
