Actor Park Sung Hoon apologized after sharing a parody of the Japanese AV (adult video) cover of his show Squid game 2 on his social media.

The cover of the parody, shared on December 30, featured several women undressed in sexually explicit scenes.

Park deleted the Instagram story immediately after posting it, quickly apologizing through her agency.

While some speculated that Park’s account may have been hacked, his agency confirmed that the post was uploaded by Park himself.

“Park Sung Hoon received a huge number of direct messages (DMs) on his social media. While checking the direct messages, he accidentally uploaded the image,” a representative from his agency, BH Entertainment, said on Park’s behalf.

“The actor himself was deeply shocked and feels extremely sorry for having made such a mistake, especially in these circumstances. He will be more careful in the future to ensure this does not happen again.”

Park plays Hyun Joo, a transgender character who works for gender confirmation surgery The Squid Game Season 2premiered on December 26.

The actor came under fire for the post, which sparked controversy for its NSFW content, especially as South Korea begins its week-long national mourning period following the tragic Jeju Air crash the day before.
