On December 27, actor Yoon Hee-seok expressed his desire for Lee Sun-kyun, “Sun-kyun, we laughed and walked together at the same times, but now you have stopped time and become a star. You remain in the most beautiful and radiant moment, while I continue to live in the passage of time, missing you with wrinkles, gray hair and a growing belly.”
He added, “The time you stopped has become a precious memory. Today I meet you in those memories and, even after a year, the desire remains vivid. Your life was truly extraordinary and the moments we shared will live forever in everyone’s hearts. Rest in peace there until we meet again.”
Yoon Hee-seok celebrated the first anniversary of Lee Sun-kyun’s death by visiting his grave. Numerous bouquets of flowers, photos of the late actor and mementos on the site caught attention.
Meanwhile, Lee Sun-kyun faced drug use charges last October. Despite protesting his innocence during the police investigation, he was found dead in a parking lot in Jongno-gu, Seoul, on December 27, just two months later. He was 48 years old.
