On November 29th, New Jeans has released an official statement announcing the termination of exclusive contracts with I LOVE IT.
In their statement, the group directly attributed this to the fact that their previously made demands were not met and issues remained unresolved between them and the company.
NewJeans officially announces that it will continue operations without HYBE and ADOR
The group has continued operations since then, although completing them without using the NewJeans name. During a recent performance in Japan, the group actually attracted attention for the way they “hid” their name, fully committing to their actions.

Many have wondered how the use of their name would be resolved and it appears the group has revealed how.
On December 14th, Goddesses Shin Donglesthe director of many NewJeans music videos shared an Instagram story of what appeared to be a painting of flowers. The director also tagged an account, @jeanzforfree.
Another user who worked with the group on their music videos also shared a similar story, this time of an angel talking to a rabbit, tagging the same account.
The @jeanzforfree account features a picture of the group’s back as its profile photo, and while some may have had doubts about the validity of the account, members of the group quickly changed that.
On the account’s Instagram Stories, NewJeans shared clips of himself, sharing that they would now “live” on this account.
Some fans believe the username is a clue that their possible new name is Jeanz and are excited about the possibilities.
