“Don’t do it. You will be erased!”
After collaborating on their hit single “APT.”, BLACKPINK‘S Rose says she and Bruno Mars are now”best friends. And like all friends, they guide each other little crazy sometimes.
During a recent episode of the YouTube show Therapuss with Jake ShaneRosé shared behind-the-scenes stories on “APT.” At some point, guest Jake Shane grown up “the most scandalous” moment that happened before “APT”. fallen. Rosé immediately understood what he was talking about and said: “He’s crazy,” referring to Bruno Marte.
That “scandalous” moment was actually two. On October 16, Rosé shared a photo of herself with Bruno Mars. In the caption, she revealed that she taught him how to play a Korean drinking game. Bruno Mars wrote: “[remember] when did you try to kiss me? This was it [weird]”,” and, unsurprisingly, his comment went viral.
Apparently, Rosé was freaking out about the comment as much as BLINKs were. “Literally, he joked about it,” Shane told Jake. “and I called him twice to say ‘don’t do it, you’ll get cancelled’. Like literally don’t do it. But Bruno Mars didn’t care. She said he laughed and told her it would happen “so funny.”
Rosé called Bruno Mars not once, but twice, to warn him not to post the comment. Although she was (rightfully) worried about him going through with his plan, she ultimately posted her teaser photo for “APT.” Anyway. He was packing for a flight at the time. While packing his bags, he saw Bruno Mars’ comment on his photo. “I was screaming” he said, so loudly, in fact, that his team rushed to see what was wrong.
The shenanigans didn’t end with that kiss comment. While Rosé was on her way to the airport, she checked Instagram again and saw that Bruno Mars had posted her teaser photo — and a comment she called “fanfic.”
“Are you kidding me!” Rosé exclaimed. He called Bruno Mars, who couldn’t have been more thrilled. She tried to convince him that the situation was serious, but he was having way too much fun.
I mean, for me it’s a serious thing! I’ve been waiting to release a song for so long, like, you’re so annoying. (laughs)

Jake Shane pointed out that Bruno Mars’ antics were great for promoting “APT. But this was not the only advantage. Rosé said her silliness lifted her mood and eased some of the anxiety she’d felt about releasing a new song.
