He didn’t seem to realize what was happening.
Concerts are designed to be fun and enjoyable experiences for fans and artists alike. Unfortunately, emotions can sometimes be so strong that they overflow and ruin the show.
Over the course of his almost twenty-year career, Chinese singer Joker Xue has become one of Mandopop’s top artists, boasting 57 million followers on Weibo alone. He is one of only five Chinese artists to have held more than 100 concerts in a single tour. His latest tour, which made him the first mainland Chinese artist to hold an international stadium tour, began on November 23.
On November 23, Joker Xue performed in front of thousands of spectators at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium in Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia. According to media reports, the star was completely unaware that two fans had started arguing, presumably over who could get the best seat near the barricade.
While Joker Xue sang a ballad and interacted with the crowd, these two fans slapped, hit and pulled each other’s hair.
Some fans around them tried to intervene while others stood back or recorded the brawl.
The video ends with a security staff member approaching the fans, presumably to break up the fight.
