Premarital pregnancy among idols is frowned upon and is heavily criticized in the K community. For this reason, it is very rare for female idols to get pregnant before marriage, or even date while active.
However, some female stars managed to hide it and managed to perform while carrying their firstborns.
1. Wonder Girls Sunye
In 2007, JYP Entertainment introduced its first girl group, Wonder Girls, which included Sunye as the leader. During their heyday, she became one of the most popular members and became famous worldwide for their megahit, “Nobody”.
Shockingly, Sunye got married and gave birth in 2013 and continued to be a member of Wonder Girls until JYP Entertainment officially confirmed her departure in 2015.
2. Crayon Pop Soyul

In 2012, Soyul entered the K-pop scene as the lead singer and maknae of Crayon Pop. They became world famous for their hit song, “Bar Bar Bar”.
In 2016, the group’s label Chrome Entertainment announced that the idol would interrupt his schedule during the comeback of “Evolution Pop Vol.1” due to his anxiety disorder.
But in November, he shockingly reported his marriage to ex-HOT Moon Hee Jun, who he started dating in April. They married in February 2017 and she gave birth in May of the same year.
Seeing the timeline, Soyul was already pregnant before getting married and officially withdrew from the group shortly after giving birth.
3. Ex Laboum Yulhee
While Laboum was still budding in 2017, Yulhee became pregnant. He was 20 years old.
At the time, she initially kept it hidden from her parents and company, but it became harder to keep it a secret as her baby bump became more noticeable during her third month while performing on stage.
She finally left the team in November of the same year and got married to FTISLAND Choi Minhwan in 2018 after giving birth to a son.
They had more twin daughters in 2020. But after living together for six years, they divorced in 2024.
