During the last broadcast of KBS Fresh FM Haha the Super Radiothe beloved entertainer returned as a radio DJ after a 16-year hiatus. While talking about Aespa’s smash hit song “Supernova,” Haha revealed his funny first meeting with the group’s leader, Karina.
According to Haha, he met Karina while filming a segment for Yoo Jae Suk’s show, U synchro. Describing Karina as a “goddess”, Haha jokingly compared her to Chae Rina, a star of her generation. What caught fans’ attention, however, was Haha’s candid and hilarious account of her nervousness during their meeting.
Haha admitted that he practiced staying composed and greeting Karina confidently, but he completely froze when she greeted him warmly first.
Normally only a manager accompanies me, but that day I had three or four people following me. I said to myself: “Karina is my junior, so keep calm, smile confidently and greet her politely.” But then someone who looked like he was from outer space said, “Hello.” I was completely frozen and couldn’t even say goodbye to her properly. I thought, “Why couldn’t I say hello?”
