(G)I-DLE‘S Soyeon has been on a mission to deliver the most shocking and jaw-dropping raps over the past year. His most recent performance on the second evening of this year MAMA Awards in Japan, however, it has certainly taken the title of the most interesting one.
Over the past few months, Soyeon — never one to shy away from addressing controversy head-on — has opened up about her contract with CUBE Entertainment and more in her self-penned raps. And she stayed true to herself when she shockingly mentioned the name of her controversial former bandmate, Soojin.
The special performance for the MAMA big event featured stunning visuals, dance and vocals before Soyeon began her shocking rap, but it was definitely elevated to a new level once she started rapping lines created especially for the MAMA performance.
In 2021 you said, “Do you think you will make it without Soojin?”
Contracts and companies, I said I’ll take care of it.

For those who may not know, former member Soojin parted ways with (G)I-DLE after being hit with bullying allegations. Initially, Cube Entertainment announced that Soojin would be taking a temporary break from activities. However, in August of that year, it was confirmed that she had officially left (G)I-DLE, although she remained under the agency. Since then, the group has continued as a five-member act.
