ENHYPEN Sunoo, whose full name is Kim Sun-woo, was born in Suwon, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea. He was introduced as a contestant in the survival show “I-LAND” and placed 8th in the final episode with 935,771 votes, but was selected by the producers to be a member of ENHYPEN.

Controversial Expression During “I-LAND”
During the first episode of “I-LAND”, Sunoo attracted controversy for giving a “side-eye” to another contestant, leading to negative responses from netizens. However, according to Seon, the same contestant, Sunoo never did anything of the sort and was just a victim of “evil editing”.
Poor treatment by staff
In July 2024, while showing up at the airport to leave for KCON LA 2024, Sunoo staggered behind his members due to the crowd of fans. Amidst this, a staff member suddenly grabbed Sunoo’s arm aggressively and pulled him forward, scaring the male idol.
As soon as the video of this action spread, ENHYPEN fans criticized the staff, claiming that it was rude of them to treat Sunoo with force.
