The November 22 episode of KBS 2TV’s “Convenience Store Restaurant” will feature Lee Sang-woo inviting his mother to his house. Together they will share a special moment, with Lee Sang-woo learning his mother’s recipes and offering her mother delicious food. The episode marks the first time Lee Sang-woo’s mother will appear on the broadcast, increasing viewers’ anticipation.
In the VCR footage, Lee Sang-woo’s mother arrived at his house, her hands full of various items. It was revealed that Lee Sang-woo had invited his mother to learn how to make his fresh kimchi, which his wife Kim So-yeon loves.
After seeing his mother, Lee Sang-woo greeted her warmly: “Mom, you look so cute today.” To this, his mother responded with a fond smile, saying, “I have to look good when I visit my son’s house.” The cast members of “Convenience Store Restaurant” could not hide their amazement, exclaiming “I thought it was his sister” AND “It’s so adorable!” as he marveled at her young and charming appearance.
What caught even more attention was how much Lee Sang-woo looked like his mother. From wearing a headband while cooking to their shared meticulous nature, the resemblance was striking. For example, her mother’s detailed three-step cabbage salting process and the incredible care she took in preparing the kimchi seasoning left everyone in awe.
Additionally, the cast was amazed to see that Lee Sang-woo’s oft-repeated mantra “Food tastes better if you take care of it” was exactly what his mother said while cooking. The striking resemblance led the cast to remark, “Like mother, like son” with admiration.
However, even Lee Sang-woo, known for his dedication, was overwhelmed by his mother’s extraordinary attention to detail in her recipes, to the point of blurting out: “Mom, let’s stop trying so hard!“This playful moment increased curiosity about their interactions. Throughout the cooking session, the mother-son duo bickered affectionately, showcasing their heartwarming chemistry and filling the Convenience Store Restaurant studio with laughter.
