Recently, a new trend involving celebrity lookalikes has emerged in the United States.
The first time in New York with a competition to find the closest actor lookalike Timothee Chalametduring which the actor actually showed up, other contests popped up involving other celebrities.

..others were posted in jest, including one shared announcing a contest for NCT‘S Marco Lee lookalike.
A flyer announcing this contest went viral online, apparently in jest as the prize listed was watermelon, known to be Mark’s favorite fruit.
However, it seems that this contest has been given a big boost in terms of legitimacy and that it will actually happen!
Following the publication of the “advertisement”, more than one media outlet reported on the contest, including eyemagazine.
Besides this, Korean news outlets also reported about the contest, including SBSwho made it an entire segment. The basic details of the contest, including the creators, @brokekpopgirls on Instagram, were included in the report.
The competition will take place on December 7, a few days before NCT DREAM will perform at Madison Square Garden as part of the Jingleball Tour 2024. You can check out SBS coverage below.
