“Protecting SEVENTEEN is a big goal for me”
SEVENTEEN‘S Mingyu recently spoke about the future of the group.
SEVENTEEN debuted in 2016 and will celebrate its ninth anniversary next year. This is an achievement because many groups do not reach this point due to various circumstances.
While SEVENTEEN hasn’t hinted at anything of the sort, it’s natural for some fans to have concerns about the future. However, Mingyu simply silenced them!
Mingyu was recently announced as the cover star of the next edition of Esquire Korea. The handsome idol posed for a DIOR-style photoshoot as well as an interview.
Speaking about SEVENTEEN, Mingyu mentioned possible concerns for the next few years related to their military service. However, Mingyu firmly stated that the possible stress was nothing, as SEVENTEEN would still be a group in ten years.
I often say to members, ‘Of course, in 10 years we will still have SEVENTEEN, so why worry about what will happen in 1 or 2 years?

The idol also shared that “protecting SEVENTEEN is a big goal” for him, showing his dedication to the group
These words left fans emotional, feeling not only the certainty that SEVENTEEN would continue, but also Mingyu’s deep feelings towards the group.
