4 members of Rocket Punch have confirmed they are leaving the long-running agency
On December 27, Woollim Entertainment shared the news through an official statement posted on Rocket Punch’s WeVerse account. The agency expressed gratitude for the members’ input and assured fans that the decision was made after careful discussion with Yeonhee, Yunkyoung, Sohee, and Dahyun.
“We would like to inform you that the exclusive artist contracts of Rocket Punch members Yeonhee, Yunkyoung, Sohee and Dahyun will end on December 31st“, reads the statement. “After extensive discussions with the members of Rocket Punch regarding their future and the direction of the activities, we have mutually decided to terminate the exclusive contracts.”
“We would like to express our sincere gratitude to Yeonhee, Yunkyoung, Sohee and Dahyun for standing with us as artists during this period, as well as to our fans for their continued support.. We will always wholeheartedly support the members of Rocket Punch throughout the future,” he added.
The rocket punch over the years
Rocket Punch originally debuted in 2019 as a six-member group, capturing attention with their bright and energetic musical style. However, the group has undergone notable changes over time. Earlier this year, Takahashi Juri left in May 2024 after her contract with Woollim Entertainment expired, leaving the group to continue with five members. Only with today’s announcement Waterfall remains under the management of Woollim Entertainment, leading to questions about the group’s future direction.
