After more than a decade of one of the most relentless witches hunting in the history of K-Pop, Epik High’s tablo has finally returned to the University of Stanford-this time, not to demonstrate anything, but to heal.
In a new video published on August 7th a Epik High’s YouTube Channel Epikase, entitled “Why have we not yet obtained our gold button?”, The trio has commemorated over a million subscribers.
But before returning to their accommodations, they made an unrelated, but deeply symbolic subsidy at Stanford University, Alma Mater of Tablo and at the center of a scandal that once threatened to ruin his career.
“Do we really have to go there?” Tablo initially protested, visibly restless. “I really went there. How many times do I have to prove it?”
Its members Mithrajin and Tukutz insisted gently, telling him that he would feel incomplete not to go. Their real purpose? To create a 2025 version of the notorious movie of a 2009 documentary who tried to verify the tablo credentials during the peak of the academic dispute of falsification that has falsely accused him of lying on his Stanford titles.
Once on the campus, the tone moved. Tablo began to drive its members as an expert alum, finally reaching the tree once the “crying tree” sarcastically nicknamed, a site forever tied to its emotional break during past coverage.
There, the trio recreated the original photo with meticulous details, even dressed in a replica of the outfit he wore 15 years ago.
“Guys you are crazy. I’ve never seen you prepare something so difficult”, Tablo murmured to laugh.
Taking a smiling photo under the same tree, the tablo let go of the longtime pain. The members shared a group embrace while the eyes of tablo moved with tears, this time, not from injustice, but from relief.
Back to their accommodation, Epik High Celebrated Ranking #1 on the Trende Loutube list, but Tablo reminded fans what really matters: “First place, last place: it doesn’t matter. What matters is that we give the best.”
This moment is not just a victory for Epik High. It is a moment of closing for some time for tablo and a powerful message on truth, resilience and healing.
